An exclusive high-profile Chanukah Party was hosted by Governor Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis of Florida at the Governors Mansion in Tallahassee, Florida attended by a select group of Shluchim.
The event was joined by six Chabad Shluchim: Rabbi Sholom Lipskar, Rabbi Benji Korf, Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz, Rabbi Meir Simcha Minkowicz, Rabbi Tzvi Dechter, and Rabbi Nochum Krinsky were personally invited.
Governor Ron DeSantis spoke about his strong support for the Jewish People in the State of Florida by providing support for Private Education, security funding and most recently Florida Highway Patrol Protecting The Jewish Institutions.
He spoke about his support for Eretz Yisrael, sending planes to evacuate after the Oct 7th attacks as well providing planes to bring much needed supplies to Israel. He also spoke about his fight against Antisemitism.
Shliach Rabbi Sholom Lipskar from the Shul of Bal Harbour spoke about the miracle of Chanukah and thanked the Governor for his strong Support for the Jewish people & how Florida is the most desirable State to live in.
Rabbi Lipskar as well as 3 families with direct connection to Israel and the Hostages were each honored to light a Menorah.
Everyone sang Chanukah Songs and were treated to a Glatt Kosher Buffet Dinner with Delicious Chanukah Latkes and Doughnuts.
The 6 Chabad Shluchim Rabbi Sholom Lipskar, Rabbi Benji Korf, Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz, Rabbi Meir Simcha Minkowicz, Rabbi Tzvi Dechter, and Rabbi Nochum Krinsky. They thanked Governor Ron DeSantis for his support and took a Picture with the Governor.
The Local Shliach, Rabbi Oirechman was out of town for his Child’s Wedding and couldn’t attend. We wish him a heartfeld Mazal Tov!
