U.S. Journalists Visit Home of Ukraine’s Chief Rabbi to Hear About Life During War

During the visit, the journalists sought to learn about Rabbi Assman’s experiences living through the ongoing war, including missile and drone attacks, and his perspective on the current situation in the country.
Speaking to ChabadInfo, Rabbi Assman said, “They wanted to hear about my life during the war and my approach to the events taking place right now in Ukraine.”
He added that his message to the visitors was clear: “First, I thanked the government and the people of the United States for their support and faith in Ukraine. I also urged them not to stop, because we must defeat evil”.
The visit provided an opportunity for the journalists to gain firsthand insight into life under wartime conditions in Ukraine and the efforts of local leaders to support their communities.
