Hundreds of Anash and Shluchim celebrated the past weekend in the Central Chabad House of Almaty, Kazakhstan, directed by the local Shliach Rabbi Yeshaye Cohen, honoring the 7oth Yohrtzeit of HaRav Levi Yitzchok Schneerson, the Rebbe’s father, who is buried in Almaty.
Among the guests present at the Chabad House over Shabbos were:
Rabbi Avraham Korf, Chabad Shliach to Florida; Rabbi Leibel Groner, Rebbe’s Secretary; Rabbi Sholom Ber Wolpo, director of SOS-Israel; Rabbi Dovid Feldman, editor of the Rebbe’s Sichos in Hebrew; Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Ofen, Mashpia of Chabad Yeshivos in Tzfas and Jerusalem and Rabbi Velvel Butman, Chabad Shliach in Westchester County, NY.
On Motzoei Shabbos, after a lively Havdala by Rabbi Cohen, the participants sat down for a Melave Malka Farbrengen, with a special musical performance by Yossi Cohen from Crown Heights.
