Photographer Levi Nazarov spent the lead-up before Sukkos, documenting the preparations at the Marina Rosha Synagogue in central Moscow, headed by the Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Berel Lazar.
Due to the size of the public, the meals take place in a number of large sukkah’s in the yard of the Shul and nearby institutions.
The dinners are served free of charge, and throughout holidays days, from early conception until after midnight tonight, every poor man comes and receives plenty of refreshments and drinks, by a team of volunteers. Alongside many sets of daled minim.
