Marking 21 years since the uprooting of the Gush Katif communities, Israeli hero and Dayan Rabbi Avraham Zarbiv visited the Gush Katif Museum in Yerushalayim, where he was presented with the “Yakir Gush Katif” (Beloved of Gush Katif) award in recognition of his dedication and contributions.
During the visit, Rabbi Zarviv reflected emotionally on his experiences, declaring: “We plowed through Gaza and laid the foundations for the rebuilding of the Gush Katif communities.” His remarks expressed hope and confidence that Jewish settlement in Gush Katif will one day be restored.
The visit was held as part of events commemorating the 21st anniversary of the disastrous withdrawel from Gush Katif, honoring those who have remained steadfast in preserving the legacy of the communities and advocating for their return.
