The Chabad Emissaries, Rabbi Yosef Carlebach, and Rabbi Mendy Carlebach of Chabad House at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ were present at JFK airport when the Prime Minister’s plane arrived, and were invited to attend the Prime Minister’s address at the UN.
The rabbis presented Prime Minister Netanyahu with a leather Machzor – Prayer Book for the High Holidays. The Prime Minister remarked that he still remembers vividly the blessings he received from the Lubavitcher Rebbe, when he served as the Israel Ambassador to the United Nations. He remarked that the holy words of the Rebbe still guide him in his leadership role today.
