More than 600 men, women, and children gathered this past Sunday at Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim in Napierville, Quebec, for a beautiful and inspiring Lag BaOmer celebration that brought the community together with joy, meaning, and Hachlotos Tovos.
Guests were treated to a delicious BBQ and an exciting array of activities that brought the yeshiva campus to life. From horseback riding and zipline adventures to a petting zoo, bow-and-arrow stations, and inflatable jumping castles, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Children ran enthusiastically between attractions, while parents relaxed and connected, creating a warm and festive atmosphere throughout the day.
The bochurim of the yeshiva played a central role—not only organizing and assisting with the activities, but also bringing a powerful spiritual energy. Dozens of men were helped with putting on tefillin, many wrote panim to the Rebbe, and children were signed up for Os B’Sefer Torah and Tzivos Hashem, adding a layer of meaning and purpose to the celebration.
Later in the afternoon, before the bonfire, a spirited tahalucha took place along the road leading to the yeshiva. Participants marched with pride and joy in honor of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, expressing Jewish unity and Chassidishe strength in a visible and uplifting way.
As evening arrived, a large bonfire was lit at the center of the grounds. The crowd gathered around, singing and celebrating in true Lag BaOmer spirit. A dazzling fireworks show lit up the sky shortly afterward, adding color and excitement to the festive scene.
After the public festivities wound down, the bochurim remained for a heartfelt farbrengen that lasted late into the night—filled with niggunim, stories, and inspiration drawn from Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and the Rebbe’s teachings.
The photos and videos, captured by Yosef Doron, beautifully reflect the special atmosphere—children smiling, families participating, and moments of connection and simcha that made this Lag BaOmer truly memorable.
The event left a deep impression on all who attended, Community members expressed their admiration and gratitude to Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Napierville and Centre 770 for creating such a meaningful and joyful experience.
