More Than 30 Kehillos Join as Marine Park Honors the Alter Rebbe

On Chof Daled Teves, communities throughout Marine Park came together in a remarkable display of achdus to commemorate the yartzeit of the “Baal HaTanya”, the Alter Rebbe, at the prestigious Ohr Yisroel Yeshiva Hall. The event was initiated by the local shliach, Rabbi Levy Hendel, director of Chabad of Marine Park.
Representing all Marine Park communities—numbering over 30 congregations—the gathering brought together Chassidish, Litvish, Sephardic, Modern and Chabad communities, all united in honor of the Alter Rebbe.
Twenty-two local rabbanim attended in person, with additional rabbanim sending messages of support. The rabbanim shared Divrei Torah and words of Achdus and Chizuk, highlighting the Alter Rebbe’s enduring impact on Yiddishkeit. Participants also joined together in singing the Alter Rebbe’s soulful niggunim.
A historic highlight of the evening was the completion and first-time distribution of a locally printed edition of the Tanya—printed in Marine Park—marking a significant milestone for the local community.
A seforim sale featuring editions of Tanya and Alter Rebbe’s “Shulchan Aruch Harav” was also held in the hall’s lobby, allowing attendees to further connect with his Torah in a tangible way.
One of the Rabbonim who addressed the gathering noted that this extraordinary display of unity was especially fitting in connection with the Alter Rebbe, whose life’s work famously united Nigleh and Nistar through the Shulchan Aruch and the Tanya.
