As he continues work on an ambitious album of classic Chabad niggunim, French Chabad singer Menachem Levy has released a lively new duet together with renowned Chassidic singer Simcha Friedman, performing the beloved Chabad niggun “Vayivchar B’David.”
The uplifting melody was originally composed in 5739 (1979) to mark the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach’s 77th birthday and was later set to the words of the Rebbe’s new kapitel Tehillim, in keeping with the longstanding Chabad custom of singing the Rebbe’s annual chapter of Tehillim.
The collaboration is part of Levy’s upcoming Chabad niggunim album, a project that has been in the works for several years. The album has already featured an inspiring performance with Avraham Fried, with additional well-known singers expected to join Menachem Levy for future duets.
