As a tribute to Lenke Roth, OB”M, and an aliyah for her neshama, her son, Alex Rovt donated a beautiful Sefer Torah to the Lone Soldiers at Chayal el Chayal for the weekly Lone Soldiers Shabbat Minyan.

This is all thanks to an incredible organization called International Jewish Organization “Chamah”, who helped connect Alex with our Lone Soldiers.

Chamah aims to upgrade Jewish awareness among Russian Jews and help the elderly and needy. Thank you Chamah for your endless kindness and continuous support to Chayal el Chayal.

At our main home, this past Sunday morning, we completed the writing of this Sefer Torah. We paraded through the streets, singing and dancing along with our new Torah.

Alex, friends, family, and representatives from Chamah were all there to join in the Simcha! From there we continued on to Mini Israel to the Seudat Mitzvah. We feasted, reignited the dancing, and watched as the soldiers were honored with awards and gift certificates presented to them by Alex himself.

Just wondering, you see in the pics that they are playing live music, how is this OK when it’s Sfirah time, & we are not allowed 2 listen 2 a CD, but live music even more ? Some shitas say that not even 2 dance bec of the Avaylus that we r in, but live music is 4 sure Asur !! These shluchim should know better, & maybe make it after Sfirah.

Yes, for sure there is no excuse for this, it’s Sfirah, & “live music” is forbidden acc to all opinions, I think that Chamah is under Merkos, as far as I heard, but in any case where do these shluchim have the right 2 start playing live music during Sfirah, someone has 2 get up & say “No this isn’t Ok” if u want 2 sing with voices that’s totally fine but “Live Music” How, how is this OK, they need 2 know that it was not right & uncalled for, I agree with comment #1 that they should have done it after Sfirah, there didn’t have 2 do it during Sfirah. Thank u, we need 2 educate frum ppl in the halachos of Sfiras HaOmer !!!
