A large crowd gathered Sunday night for a special farbrengen held in honor of Chof Menachem Av, the yahrtzeit of the Rebbe’s father, the gaon and mekubal Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Schneerson, at Beis Menachem Shul in Kfar Chabad.
The main speaker, Rabbi Shmuel Butler, spoke about the life and legacy of Reb Levik, sharing stories and practical lessons connected to the Rebbe’s Mivtzoim, with special emphasis on strengthening participation in the General Children’s Sefer Torah campaign.
Additional speakers included Rabbi Dov Tveredovitz, Rabbi Eliezer Mizrachi of Lod, and Rabbi Hertzel Cohen, who addressed the significance of Chof Menachem-Av and the lessons to be drawn from the day.
During the farbrengen, Shliach Rabbi Michael Moyal, made a siyum oHaRambam, in accordance with the Rebbe’s established directive.
The evening concluded with remarks from Rabbi Moshe Horowitz, who expressed appreciation to the shul’s gabbaim — Rabbi Binyamin Rivkin, Rabbi Yosef Abuav, and Rabbi Avraham Asher — for organizing the event, as well as to Hatomim Dovid Brook, who accompanied the farbrengen with music.
