During the Shabbos meals, Yossian shared his personal story of growing up in Iran — facing violence and abuse from local Muslims — yet holding strong to his Jewish pride and identity.
On Motzei Shabbos, at a farbrengen held before Selichos, Yossian undertook to keep the final Shabbos of the year, and encouraged members of the community who have not yet begun observing Shabbos to give it a try.
