On Motzei Shabbos Parshas Terumah, hundreds of fathers and sons attended the annual “Avos uBanim” program at the Marina Roshcha Central Synagogue in Moscow. The event, held each winter for children across the city, featured Torah learning, singing of Chassidic niggunim, and moments of Hisorerus.
The gathering was attended by Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Berel Lazar, who highlighted the centenary of the Rebbe Rayatz’s famous Maamar delivered in Moscow in 1927, emphasizing devotion to Jewish education even under threat.
The program was led by Shliach Rabbi Yeshaya Gross, who has dedicated years to ensuring the success of Avos uBanim in Moscow. Students received branded thermoses and special prizes, including a symbolic “ticket to the Rebbe.”
The event reflects the continuity of Jewish learning in Moscow, echoing the courage and dedication of past generations while inspiring fathers and sons to strengthen Torah study together.
