In honor of this year of Hakhel, Moscow’s Yeshiva Ketana Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch merited an unusually spiritual experience. The yeshiva students who excelled in their learning traveled together with their Rosh Yeshiva, Ra”mim, Mashpiim, and bochurim shluchim to the Rebbe for thethe auspicious day of Gimmel Tammuz.

Altogether, close to 100 people, they spent an uplifting and inspiring week absorbing and farbrenging in the Rebbe’s daled amos. This was the culmination of a special campaign that began half a year ago.

The students studied additional material and were rigorously tested during their breaks. Many set their alarm clocks and woke up an hour or two earlier than usual in order to immerse themselves in the study of sichos from 5751-5752. There were special farbrengens, and additional classes with guest Rabbonim and Mashpi’im on Inyonei Geuleh u’Moshiach. The atmosphere was electrifying, the excitement could be felt throughout the yeshiva.

The actual trip became an unforgettable experience for each one of the students. In addition to their gashmiyus needs being fully taken care of, the boys merited spending time in the Rebbe’s daled amos.

They were completely enveloped in a “ruchniyusdike embrace” which included learning sdarim from a special booklet that was prepared in advance, in depth shiurim with special guest Rabbis and Mashpi’im, a program of special memories from the wonderful years by those who merited spending time with the Rebbe then, and daily farbrengens with Mashpiim, Shluchim, and Ra”mim from various yeshivas who encouraged and strengthened the boys’ Hiskashrus to the Rebbe through learning his Torah.

Upon their successful return to Moscow, the students and their parents expressed their sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to the philanthropist and tremendous Baal Tzedaka , Reb Yehuda Davidov, whose generous donation enabled this exceptional trip. To the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Moshe Lerman who guided and encouraged this amazing campaign from start to finish in the very best way possible. To Rabbi Yosef Moshe Weisberg of the yeshiva’s administration, for the incredibly organized manner in which all the logistics of the trip were arranged with the help of the yeshiva’s secretary Reb Chaim Nemesh. Special thanks to the yeshiva staff who chaperoned the entire journey, Rabbi Dovber Gechtman, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Wilansky, Rabbi Chonon Teichtel, and Rabbi Menachem Mendel Ruderman. And last but not least, thank you to the bochrim shluchim who ensured that the ruchniyusdike aspect of the trip come to fruition technically and practically, the Tmimim: Shimon Weisfish, Shmuel Meshi-Zahav, Yosef Leib HaLevi Segal, Shneur Zalman Eliezer Slavin, Menachem Mendel Kot, Shimon Kuperman, Yosef Yitzchak Kelman and Yehuda Spiegel.

The trip is over, but the journey has just begun. With sincerest hope that very soon we will all journey together with the Geula haAmitis vehaShlema!
