A joyous Bris Milah was held in the city of Auberwillier for the son of Rabbi Menachem Kalmenson, grandson of the Rebbe’s Shliach in the city and director of the Schneur institutions, Rabbi Meir Simcha Kalmenson. Rabbi Meir Simcha personally served as the mohel. The child was given the name Tzvi Hirsch, in memory of his great-grandfather Rabbi Tzvi Hirsch Spritzer, A”H.
Participating in the simcha were the Mara D’Asra of Kehillas Schneur, Rabbi Y. Y. Meir Teichtel; the great-grandfather of the newborn, Rav and the Rebbe’s Shliach in Milan, Italy — Rabbi Yitzchak Balinov; Rosh Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Brunoy, France, Rabbi Yechiel Kalmenson; and the infant’s grandfather, the Rebbe’s Shliach and Rav of Kehillas “Chai Menachem” in São Paulo, Brazil, Rabbi Yerachmiel Balinov. Family members, friends, and members of the local community also joined in the simcha.
In honor of the Bris, a Teshurah was distributed: the sefer “Shema Beni” on the Haggadah shel Pesach, the second published work of the infant’s father, following his first sefer, “Minchas Gani,” on the Torah.
