Florida Shluchim Rescue Family From Flooded Home

As the catastrophic Category 4 Hurricane Ian crashed into Florida’s Gulf Coast bringing winds of more than 150 miles per hour and storm surges of 18 feet or more, shluchim were reaching out to residents trapped by the storm.
Rabbi Yosef Konikov, Director of Chabad of Orlando, was out in the flooded areas on Thursday, bringing meals, assistance and more to local residents including a family of four was trapped on the second floor of their home in Kissimmee, just south of Orlando, and calls to 911 were not being responded to, the rabbi was determined to help.
So he and his son Levi Konikov, a certified lifeguard, commissioned a boat and set out along flooded neighborhood streets to rescue the family.
