Fire Breaks Out in Ohr Chaya Seminary Dorm in Yerushalayim, Dozens Injured

Dozens of girls were rescued and treated on-site, with several taken to Shaare Tzedek and Hadassah hospitals. Three were in serious condition due to smoke inhalation, and two others were in moderate condition.
A volunteer doctor from United Hatzalah, reported that emergency responders treated numerous casualties, including three men who entered the building to assist in the rescue, and several girls who were evacuated by ambulance.
One of the workers, Imad Kherbawi, an Arab-Israeli from the Mount of Olives, described how he helped rescue girls after hearing an explosion. He entered the building and guided around 40 girls to safety, despite thick smoke and growing danger.
At Hadassah hospital, most of the victims have been released, though two remain hospitalized, one in moderate and one in serious condition. The seminary staff is coordinating with families and providing support to the affected students. A situation room has been set up to manage the aftermath of the fire, and prayers are being offered for a full recovery.
