The fifth European Dayanim Conference, organized by the Conference of European Rabbis, concluded this week in Paris, bringing together dozens of Dayanim, Av Beis Din, and Rabbonim from Jewish communities across Europe.

Over the course of three days, Rabbonim engaged in discussions on a wide range of contemporary halachic and communal issues facing batei din throughout the continent. The program featured Shiurim, professional forums, and collaborative sessions aimed at strengthening cooperation among rabbinical courts and Jewish communities.

A highlight of the gathering was the participation of Rabbi David Yosef, who traveled from Eretz Yisroel to address the conference. He delivered shiurim, offered words of encouragement, and took part in discussions regarding the role and responsibilities of batei din in contemporary Jewish life.

Also participating were senior rabbinic figures, including Rabbi Tzvi Braverman and Rabbi Eyal Yosef.

The conference opened with Tehillim recited for the recovery of the wounded, the safety of IDF soldiers, and the security of the Jewish people in Eretz Yisroel. The prayers were led by Rabbi Shimon Seneor.

Among the notable moments of the gathering was a visit to Beis Menachem in Paris, where the visiting rabbonim joined hundreds of students for Shacharis and addressed the talmidim with words of inspiration about Torah, Yiddishkeit, and Jewish continuity.

Organizers noted that the conference further strengthened ties between batei din across Europe, fostered greater collaboration among dayanim, and provided an important forum for addressing the halachic challenges facing Jewish communities throughout the continent.

Rabbi Menachem Margolin, chairman of the organization, emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between rabbinical courts in Europe and Eretz Yisroel and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting rabbonim and dayanim in their vital communal work.
