    For the 35th time, the largest Menorah lighting in France took place at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, in which several thousand Yidden participated.

    The event was organized by the Lubavitch House of Paris under the guidance of Shliach Rabbi Menachem Mendel Azimov

    The event under heavy police protection, was joined by Transport Minister Clément Baune, who represented the french government; Mr. Joël Mergui, President of the Consistory of Paris; Rabbi Michel Guggenheim, Chief Rabbi of Paris; Mr. Elie Korchia, president of the Central Consistory; Mr. Gil Taieb, vice president of CRIF; Mr. Meyer Habib, deputy for French people abroad, and Imam Chalgoumi.

    Ms. Rachida Dati, mayor of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, apologized for not being able to join and was represented by her deputy.

    Music by Yossef Brami‘s Orchestra with singer L. Djian. New for this year was a special fire and light show.

    The speakers expressed their solidarity with the hostages, the victims and the IDF soldiers who are fighting against Hamas, but also the hope of seeing the light triumph.

    The Event was part of Chanukah Live and was broadcast live simultaneously from 770 in Brooklyn, and the Kosel in Yerushalayim.
