Eilat: Chabad Rabbanim and Shluchim Attend Inauguration of City’s New Chief Rabbi

The festive ceremony in Eilat marked the inauguration of Rabbi Yair Hadaiya as the city’s Sephardic rabbi, with Rabbanim, Chabad Shluchim, public officials and hundreds of Eilat residents in attendance.
Also present were the Chief Rabbanim of Israel, Rabbi David Yosef and Rabbi Kalman Ber, alongside the Rishon LeZion and Chief Rabbi of Yerushalayim, Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar.
Chabad in Eilat was represented by the city’s Ashkenazi rabbi, Rabbi Yosef Hecht; Rabbi Shimon Eisenbach, rabbi of the Shachamon neighborhood; and the Rebbe’s Shliach in the city, Rabbi Mendy Klein.
Also participating were Eilat Mayor Eli Lankri, Chairman of the Religious Council Chaim Amar, commanders of the security forces and additional public figures.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, those in attendance blessed the new rabbi upon assuming his position, wishing him success in his Shlichus, the strengthening of Torah and Jewish life, and the ability to serve all the city’s residents with good health, Nachas and Siyata D’Shmaya.
