On Thursday morning Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz of Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida who was planning a community solidarity mission to Israel the following Sunday, received a call from the Israeli Army Chaplain at the Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva Israel with a request to find, purchase & bring 90 Sweatsuits for the wounded soldiers that need Rehabilitation & Plastic Surgery.
They asked that it should be a good quality company so the Soldiers feel good about themselves. With a zipper would be preferred as it will be easy for them to open when they go to therapy.
Rabbi Minkowicz sent a message to his community for people to share in this mitzvah, however it had to be delivered to the Rabbis house in 24 hours before Friday 12:00 pm as we were leaving to Israel on Sunday morning.
Two woman undertook the project & by Friday 12:00 pm they delivered to the Rabbis house 90 designer sweatsuits that were requested.
Rabbi Minkowicz reached out to Elal management to arrange to bring the extra luggage on the plane & they happily agreed to help.
Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz & Rabbi Peretz Meir Simcha Minkowicz of Chabad Lubavitch of Southwest Florida as well as Bob & Taryn landed in Israel on Monday morning & Monday afternoon delivered the 90 Sweatsuits to the Hospital Chaplain & Hand delivered to the Wounded Soldiers that were in the Hospital they were so grateful & appreciative for the high quality clothing they received.
May all those that were wounded be healed, may the Hostages return safely & May there be peace in the world. Let’s all witness Hashem’s glory revealed.
