Chabad of Coral Springs has established a charity GoFundMe campaign to offset some of the costs associated with the weekly food distributions they host on Wednesdays.
Even though the food to help feed the struggling families of South Florida has been generously donated, Ellen Helfgott of Chabad Coral Springs said that some of the expenses they incur, like hiring forklifts and operators, add up quickly.
Therefore, donating to their GoFundMe page is another opportunity for those who have always wanted to participate in helping area residents yet could not commit time to one of Chabad’s weekly food distributions.
Because Chabad operates as a federally registered nonprofit, more benefits are provided to a charity based organization versus a regular GoFundMe campaign, such as no fees and specialized features, like customized donate button and in-platform messaging.
Additionally, this new way to donate also means Chabad can leverage the vast giving community that supports the various GoFundMe causes.
