During a visit to Élysée Palace, Rabbi Yitzchak Pevsner, Shliach to Chinch in France, met with government officials to discus various issues concerning the Jewish communities in France, including more government funding for Jewish communities.
Prime Minister Gabriel Attal is also the former minister of education. He introduced the new minister of education to Rabbi Pevsner and discussed with them the topic.
Rabbi Pevsner also met the interior minister to discuss safety concerns in the Jewish communities of France, and more specifically in schools.
He also had the opportunity to meet with the President Emmanuel Macron and his wife. Rabbi Pevsner thanked him for all his support in general, and especially since Simchas Torah, in fighting anti sematisim throughout France.
Notably, when Rabbi Pevsner presented himself as a Shliach of the Rebbe Shlita, the President asked for a Brocha to help him overcome all the challenges that come along with being president of a country.
