Toronto: Kinus Hakhel Strengthens Learning of Hilchos Moshiach on Rambam’s Hilula

On Chof Teves – the Rambam’s Yom Hilula – this year – the year of Hakhel, in Thornhill, Toronto, a grand Kinus Hakhel was held, according to the Rebbe’s horaah in the sicha of Shabbos Parshas Shemos 5752 to strengthen learning Rambam and especially in the last two chapters of the Rambam that deal with Melech HaMoshaich and Yemos HaMoshiach.

The Hakhel kinus was focused on learning specifically the sefer Dvar Malchus on Hilchos Moshiach of the Rambam with the Rebbe’s biurim.

This grand Hakhel gathering took place in JRCC South Thornhill run by Shliach Rabbi Levi Blou. With the participation of Rabbonim and Mashpi’im from Toronto spoke words of inspiration to encourage the learning Rambam and Hilchos Moshiach in the Rambam with the Rebbe’s biurim as compiled in the Sefer Dvar Malchus.

The Hakhel event started with a video of a sicha of the Rebbe’s said on Chof Teves 5749 explaining the last halacha of Hilchos Moshiach.

After the video, Rabbi Levi Jacobson, Rov and shliach of the Rebbe in Toronto spoke about the specialty of the sefer Dvar Malchus were all the Rebbe’s biurim on Nigla and Chassidus are compiled together in one book and he strongly encourages everyone to eat the fruit of Rabbi Ezagui‘s hard work to put together this great sefer.

After that Rabbi Yosef Gorman, Rosh yeshiva in Mesivta Lubavitch Toronto, spoke about how dear it is to the Rebbe Rambam in general and especially the last 2 prokim of the Rambam, and how through learning torah and especially in the Rambam and more specifically in the last two chapters of the Rambam regularly, and with the Rebbe’s biurim in the sefer Dvar Malchus we will bring about the coming of Moshiach speedily.

Rabbi Levi Hakohen Blou, then spoke how the Rambam brought about a great order in the topic of Moshiach, and made Moshiach a reality and not a sweet dream, and through learning the sefer dvar Malchus with the Rebbe’s biurim we can see how much depth there is in the Rambam in this prokim.

Then Rabbi Yitzchak Chakak, the Rov of Kehilas Sharei Tzion of Toronto, spoke about the great passion the Gedolei Yisroel throughout all the generations had for the coming of Moshiach and specially the Rambam that put the belief in Moshiach and one of the 13 foundations of Judaism.

After him Rabbi Yoel Doron showed a slideshow presentation explaining the halachic criteria of Moshiach with the Rebbe biurim, that Moshiach main goal it to bring about the completion of Torah and mitzvos, how necessary it is to learn about Moshiach in the Sefer Dvar Malchus like that we have a real understanding in moshiach and belief, and wait for the correct thing what Moshiach is all about – the completion of Torah and mitzvos.

Rabbi Yakov Kamman, Mashapia in Yeshiva Gedola in Yeshivas Lubavitch Toronto, who has also compiled a book of Chidushei Torah on the Rambam’s Hilchos Moshiach, showed to everyone the booklet Dvar Malchus he received from the Rebbe as a child, and how from then on people started to actually understand what Moshiach is all about and not only have an abstract understanding in Russia rather to really internalize and understand very well what Moshiach is.

Rabbi Kamman encourages everyone to fulfill the Rebbe’s directive to learn about Moshiach with the Rebbe’s biurim. He then spoke about the meaning of the Rebbe’s biurim on the halacha that the Rambam brings that Rabbi Akiva said that Ben Kuziba was Moshiach.

Rabbi Levi Zaltzman, Mashpia and Magid Shiur in Yeshivas Lubavitch Toronto, spoke about the Rambam’s opinion about the status of the nations of the world in the days of Moshiach.

Before Rabbi Ezagui called up Rabbi Avrohom Man, Mashpia in Yeshiva Gedola Toronto, Rabbi Ezagui mentioned that he has to say thank you to Rabbi Man, for a few words Rabbi Man mentioned from a sicha of the Rebbe 10 years before at a symposium on the topic of Moshiach brought him eventually to put together the sefer Dvar Malchus: that the Rebbe says about himself that he learned by a heart Hilchos Moshiach of the Rambam, and after Rabbi Ezagui heard that the Rebbe learned these chapters by heart he did so as well, then he would say them over every single day, and as he would say them every day he would think over in his head the Rebbe’s explanations on each word of the Rambam, then he came up with the idea to put together in one book all the Rebbe’s explanations on this chapters.

Rabbi Man spoke about the great zechus Rabbi Ezagui has that he is giving the Rebbe a big nachas ruach by koching in Moshiach and putting the sefer Dvar Malchus together and spreading it out all over the world, and so to every Chosid has the zechus to give the Rebbe a grate nachas ruch by fulfilling his horaah, specially by learning Hilchos Moshiach, that the Rebbe said so many times to learn this chapters, this will give the Rebbe a big nachas ruach and this is because this is the fastest way to bring Moshiach as the Rebbe said, and Rabbi Man strongly encouraged all the participants to learn the sefer Dvar Malchus the Rebbe’s biurim on Hilchos Moshiach, and to learn about Moshiach in general.

Rabbi Ezagui pointed out, what the Rebbe said in the sicha of Shabbos Parshas Vaeira 5752 that everyone should add in there hiskashrus to the Nasi Hador through fulfilling his main Shlichus which is “lehavi leyemos hamoshiach”, and in a footnote on these words the Rebbe explains that this is done by learning Hilchos Moshiach in the Rambam and spreading this out to others to.

All the participants were boosted and energized to add in learning the Sefer Dvar Malchus with the Rebbe’s biurim on Hilchos Moshiach.
