According to terrorists, Dror’s body was located in the Nuseirat area in the central Gaza Strip.
Dror Or was the husband of Yona, HY”D, and father to three children — Yehali, Noam, and Alma. He worked for many years at the Be’eri dairy, where he ultimately served as manager.
On October 7, the Or family sheltered inside their safe room as terrorists infiltrated the Kibbutz. When their home was set ablaze, Dror and Yona made the split-second decision to pass their children out through the window — a decision that saved their lives. Afterward, the couple attempted to escape separately but were captured and murdered.
The children, Noam and Alma, were taken into Gaza and later returned to Israel in the first hostage-release deal on November 25, 2023. Now, two years after their return — and 781 days since the massacre — Dror has finally been brought home for burial in Be’eri.
He is survived by his three children, his parents Yuval and Dorit, and his siblings Dana and Elad.
Two abducted fallen Israelis remain held in Gaza: SSgt. Ran Goyili, HY”D, 24, from Meitar — a Yasam officer killed defending Kibbutz Alumim, Suntistk Rintalak, HY”D.
Their bodies have yet to be returned.
