Very interesting, some ppl go to Haditch for Chof Daled Teves & some go for Chai Elul, I guess ppl choose which way they want to connect with the Alter Rebbe, some on the birthday & some on the Yom Hilula, everyone is welcome to choose how they want to have their Hiskashrus to the Alter Rebbe & both are very beautiful, another interesting point is that going to Haditch is a relatively new thing before Gimmel Tamuz nobody would go bec the Rebbe would make a Farbrengen & I would say about maybe 11 years that going to Haditch started, definitely 17 18 years ago, nobody was going

This year is the last time that Chai Elul will fall on Shabbos for a while, which falling on Shabbos makes the day even more special, the next time it will fall on Shabbos is not for another 7 years
