Thirty-one years ago, the Rebbe challenged his Chassidim to do everything in their power to bring Mashiach. Everyone present in 770 on that day will forever remember the words, “Tut altz vos ir kent tzu arupbrengen moshiach taikef umiyad  mamosh.” As Chof Ches Nissan approaches once again, the Moshiach Office at Merkos 302 is preparing its second unique twenty-four-hour virtual farbrengen.

On Motzei Shabbos, the 29th of Nissan, the international marathon of inspiration will begin. Throughout the event, Fifty mashpiim, shluchim, educators and inspirational speakers will share their understanding of the Rebbe’s call to action. In their remarks, each speaker will give the worldwide Chabad community a practical way to unpack the meaning of the Rebbe’s sicha. For ease of accessibility, their observations are set to be delivered in both English and Hebrew.

Even if they hail from fifteen different time zones, the speakers will all focus on a single point; everyone is an influencer. To Rabbi Shlomie Naparstek, director of the Moshiach Office, this conveys the concept that every one of us already has a tremendous influence on our surroundings — even if we haven’t noticed it yet.

“From his first maamer, the Rebbe constantly reminded us that we can’t simply nourish our own spiritual needs,” Rabbi Naparstek says. “In fact, the Rebbe told us that the single best way to achieve our own growth is to influence the people around us.” 

To Rabbi Mendy Kotlarsky, executive director of Merkos 302,  this is an event of utmost importance. “Chof Ches Nissan is a day that holds vast meaning for every Chabad Chossid,” he says, “we can’t pass up the opportunity to recommit to the mission the Rebbe handed to us and be aware of the power we have to bring Moshiach.”
