A new online course has recently been launched, called “Stress Less”, a 4-week webinar teaching how to “Live in the Moment” according to Chassidus.
The course teaches a person how to reduce levels of stress, worry and anxiety by focusing on how the present moment is being recreated by Hashem and thus, all is good.
Ostensibly, reducing stress seems to be the scope of the course. However, if one clicks on the “Stress Less hand-out” link below each video and studies the Sichos upon which this course is based, one can see another layer of depth in which this course is also an explanation on how to “live” Moshiach.
For those familiar with the famous “Living in the Moment” sicha of Parshas Pinchas 5751, the Rebbe describes that when a person is singularly focused on what they are doing, they will do everything to perfection.
Such a perfection acclimates a person to the perfection of Geulah, and causes a person to experience a personal Geulah (Geulah pratis).
In a similar vein, Sichas Parshas Toldos 5752 teaches that just by waking up in the morning – even before saying, “Modeh Ani” – a person’s “essence” (etzem) is revealed as “one” with G-d’s “essence” (Atzmuso yis’).
The Rebbe explains that merely by having an awareness (yedi’a) of this, one’s spiritual efforts in the world become permeated with the soul’s true “essence”, thereby reflecting the true aspect of Moshiach.
For the past two decades people have been learning these sichos and being inspired to “live” Moshiach. However, the challenge is how to translate these sichos into practice and into one’s avoda.
The “Stress Less” course includes some insight of an avoda on how to do that.
In class two, the “Stress Less hand-out” link features Parshas Toldos 5752 and the notion that as soon as a person experiences a revelation of their existence just as it is, unto itself, their “essence” (etzem) becomes automatically revealed.
In class three, the “Stress Less hand-out” link features Parshas Pinchas 5751 and the notion that a completely inwardly person (a “pnimi”) is one who is completely focused on the moment at hand, and thus, lives “Geulah”.
Class one lays out the premise that all of this is achieved by doing a certain kind of “his’bonenuns” which is based on visualizing concepts of Chassidus in one’s mind.
For those curious how to incorporate these sichos on Moshiach into practical avoda, the “Stress Less” course is an interesting suggestion worthy of consideration.
