Antwerp Yeshiva Holds its Own Kinus Banquet
In what has developed into a yearly tradition for the yeshiva, the students were treated to a delicious meal in a nearby event hall, followed by inspiring speakers and energetic dancing, mirroring the famous event happening simultaneously in New York. As their fathers celebrated at the banquet of this year’s Kinus Hashluchim Haolami, the students of Tomchei Temimim – Antwerp, themselves children of Shluchim, celebrated a banquet of their own.
In what has developed into a yearly tradition for the yeshiva, the students were treated to a delicious meal in a nearby event hall, followed by inspiring speakers and energetic dancing, mirroring the famous event happening simultaneously in New York.
The bochurim were inspired by speeches from Rabbi Aharon Shif, Chief Rabbi of the Machzikei Hadas frum communities in Antwerp, as well as veneratged Shliach Rabbi Shabtai Slavaticki, amongst other speakers.
The goal was to have the students, most of whom are the sons of Shluchim across Europe and the former Soviet Union, revel in their merit of being part of the Rebbe’s army, organizers said.
The bochurim themselves represented 24 countries from around the world, and enjoyed a traditional banquet roll call.
