Chabadinfo photographer Dov Ber Hechtman presents a special project to document Chabad activities on Gaza’s border during the ongoing war.

As war in Gaza rages on and millions of Israelis are displaced from their homes, Chabad Shluchim as well as Anash and Temimim, are bringing hope and joy, as well supplies and relief to the displaced and IDF soldiers.

He started the day at the police station in Sderot which was destroyed by terrorists during the attacks on Simchas Torah. He also visited the Chabad House in Sderot headed by Rabbi Moshe Ze’ev Pizem. He also viewed the damage left by a rocket fired from Gaza.

He continued on to the Nahal Oz kibbutz, where more than 60 heroic IDF soldiers and more than a dozen residents were killed al kiddush Hashem, on Simchas Torah.

Joining the Mitzva Tanks he visited a dozen IDF bases in the south. He accompanied by Chief Rabbi of Ukraine, Rabbi Moshe Assman. He had the opportunity to put Tefillin on soldiers at the entrance to Gaza.

At the end of the visit, he joined a BBQ organized by Chabad of Netanya for IDF soldiers who have been fighting in Gaza for weeks.
