With Hamas breaking yet another ceasefire, over 100 rockets have been hitting Israel in the past few days, with many targeting Kfar Chabad.
Kfar Chabad is now the site of one of the “Iron Dome” rocket-intercepting batteries, which intercepts rockets flying over Kfar Chabad.
The obvious question is, why is Kfar Chabad targeted more heavily than other cities in Israel’s central Tel-Aviv area?
ChabadInfo.com has researched this phenomenon and discovered that Hamas has made it a top-priority to hit Israel’s Ben Gurion airport, attempting to disrupt air travel and cause a financial hit to Israel.
Kfar Chabad is very close to the airport (as seen in the attached map), and is therefore the target of many of the rockets that don’t seem to make it to the airport.
The Iron Dome battery stationed in Kfar Chabad, is programmed to protect both Kfar Chabad and the nearby airport.
