Kinus Hashluchim 5776, the International Conference of Shluchim, is just three weeks away, and the Va’ad HaKinus is busy preparing this year’s Kinus, which promises to be bigger and better than the previous ones.
On Wednesday afternoon, 22nd of Cheshvan, Shluchim will register for the Kinus, receiving a gift and their badge to accompany them during the Kinus, which will continue until Sunday Night, 26th of Cheshvan.
After consultation with veteran Shluchim and Mashpiim, the Va’ad HaKinus has chosen the theme for this year’s convention: “Kahal Gadol Yashuvu Haina”.
A member of the Va’ad Hakinus told ChabadInfo the reason for this theme:
“As we know, this year is Shnas Hakhel; the Rebbe spoke many times of the importance of involving everything in the year with Hakhel.
In addition, this posuk is referring to the time when Moshiach comes, and the last Sicha in which the Rebbe addressed the Kinus HaShluchim, in the year 5752, the Rebbe said that the mission of the Shluchim is “to prepare the world for the coming of Moshiach,” which means that the purpose of every action and activity has to be for the goal of bringing Moshiach.”
He conculeded that “Therefore, this theme is directly connected with Hakhel and Moshiach”.
