A fire broke out on Friday morning in a yeshiva dormitory located at 658 Eastern Parkway, between Brooklyn and New York Avenues in Crown Heights. Bochurim Escape as Fire Engulfs Dorm
The building served as a dormitory for students of the 770 Yeshiva, many of whom were seen escaping through windows as flames engulfed the structure. According to bystanders, the fire may have been caused by a space heater, though an official investigation is still ongoing.
Devastating Loss and Community Support
With the dorm completely burned out, the students have lost all of their belongings. The Red Cross has stepped in to provide clothing and assistance, while others are working to address their immediate needs.
