There is a marathon on Eastern Parkway this shabbas. Residents will not be able to cross over Eastern Parkway from about 3am to 9:30am.
The marathon will end on Eastern Parkway and Kingston. Bochurim who want to cross to Oholei Torah can cross on Kingston Ave. Eastern Parkway and Brooklyn is within the marathon route and will be closed to pedestrian traffic.
Last year the marathon ended on Albany and Kingston was closed. This caused a difficulty and people weren’t able to cross at Kingston to get into 770. This year after input from community leaders through the Mayors Office it was moved up a block so people can cross by Kingston Ave.
