In a major subway change this weekend, there will be no 4 trains east of Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, cutting off Crown Heights from Lexington Ave service, the MTA announced.
The MTA says the temporary change, which is in effect until Monday at 5 AM, is due to track replacement.
Additionally, 5 trains, which don’t run into Brooklyn on weekends, aren’t running between Grand Central-42 St and Bowling Green.
There are no service changes for the 2 and 3 lines.
Full changes:
– 4 trains aren’t running between Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall and Crown Hts-Utica Av or New Lots Av.
– 4 trains are running between Woodlawn and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, and local in Manhattan.
– 5 trains aren’t running between Grand Central-42 St and Bowling Green.
– During the day and evening, 5 trains are running between Eastchester-Dyre Av and Grand Central-42 St, every 12 minutes.
– 6 trains are running every 8 minutes during the day and evening.
Alternatives
– For service between Grand Central-42 St and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall, take the 4.
– For service to/from Fulton St, Wall St, and Bowling Green, use nearby J or R stations.
– For direct service between Manhattan and Brooklyn, take N, Q or R trains.
– For service between Borough Hall and Franklin Av-Medgar Evers College, take 2 and 3 trains.
– For service between Franklin Av-Medgar Evers College and Crown Hts-Utica Av, take the 3.
– For service between Crown Hts-Utica Av and New Lots Av, take the 3, which is running to/from New Lots Av.
