Police are looking for a woman who robbed a man inside his Bedford Avenue apartment while she was dressed as a Verizon worker Monday.
The woman showed up at 1597 Bedford Ave. around 9:30 a.m. dressed as a Verizon employee, complete with a badge, the victim told police. She said she could lower the man’s monthly bill if he showed her his previous Verizon statement from the month before.
When the man give her a copy of the bill, she sprayed him in the face with an unknown substance, snatched his wallet and fled on foot. Police said the woman then jumped into a dark colored Nissan sedan, which fled northbound on the avenue.
