Crown Heights Shmira, the officially sanctioned safety patrol organization of Crown Heights, has been in the business of protecting the Crown Heights Jewish community for many years.
In addition to its primary role of protecting the community in cases of emergency, for years, Shmira’s dedicated volunteers have been assisting with many other needs, including helping stranded motorists in need a quick fix. Be it a battery boost, a flat tire, or someone helplessly locked out of their own car, Shmira would show up and salvage the situation.
Shmira wishes to inform the community about a new organization, founded by Shmira’s own Yanky Prager, that will service the Crown Heights Jewish community. Called “Crown Heights Chaverim,” it’s being opened in Crown Heights, and will cater to all your non-safety related needs.
The official phone number for the Crown Heights Chaverim is 718-222-1800. Shmira urges the community to contact Chaverim for all non-safety related incidents, thus freeing up vital man-power and resources for Shmira’s primary mission of protecting the community.
