On Friday night, a 22-year-old Lubavitcher from Israel, who was in Crown Heights for his wedding, was stabbed in the arm by a knife.
He was approached by 2 males who asked him if he was Jewish, they then stabbed him in his left arm.
“At 2 o’clock in the morning, I was walking on Union Street between Albany and Troy.” The victim told Chabadinfo. “Two individuals approached me with anti-Semitic insults, suddenly one of them pulled a knife from his pocket and stabbed me in the arm.”
“I defended myself and managed to push them off of me and throw the knife and the attackers to the ground, I went to my room and after initially applying a cream I went to sleep.” He added.
On Shabbos Morning, he arrived in 770 and wasn’t feeling well, Hatzalah treated the victim and took him to Methodist Hospital, where he was then listed in stable condition, and returned home.
The NYPD is investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.
