Firefighters arriving at the scene quickly assessed the situation and declared an “All Hands” fire, a designation that calls for additional resources and manpower. Teams began evacuating the building and worked from multiple positions to bring the blaze under control.

Thanks to their quick and coordinated efforts, the fire was contained before it could spread to neighboring homes. However, one adjacent home sustained collateral damage, as firefighters were forced to break through its roof and windows in order to contain the blaze and prevent further spread. There was no need for intervention from Hatzalah.

The block, home to several Jewish families, gradually returned to calm as fire crews wrapped up their operations. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
