Badatz Issue Letter Condemning Yesterday’s Destruction of 770

The Beis Din of Crown Heights, headed by Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba and Rabbi Yosef Braun published a letter following the Hefker behavior over the past day, causing a major Chilul Hashem and Beis Chayeinu to be closed • Full Story, Letter

The Beis Din of Crown Heights, headed by Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba and Rabbi Yosef Braun published a letter following the Hefker behavior over the past day, causing a major Chilul Hashem and Beis Chayeinu to be closed.

Immediately following the events last night, Rabbi Braun issued a Audio message condemning the perpetrators and their actions. Today they issued a full statement.

    Full Letter (Freely translated):

We are here once again to condemn the perpetrators of the acts of destruction and terrorism in 770 yesterday, following “Hefker” behavior that has been going on for a long time.

Of course, such acts have no place among Yiden in general and Chassidim in particular. No argument can justify such serious acts. simply, they do not represent at all the community of Chabad Chassidim who are faithful to the words and ways of our Rabbeim.

And in the words of the Rebbe: ״אין ליובאוויטשער הויף איז ניטא קיין טעראר בריגאדע…״ = “There is no terror brigade in the Lubavitcher court.”

“Because if there is someone who has a connection to the Lubavitcher court, and to the Lubavitcher sector with all the nicknames and adjectives – it cannot be that he should do something that has no place in the Shulchan Aruch, and even more so against the Shulchan Aruch”,

“If there is someone in Lubavitch who does something that is not according to the Shulchan Aruch, or against the Shulchan Aruch, he is at war with Lubavitch, with me [the Rebe], with my father-in-law [the Frierdiker Rebbe], with Rebbe Rashab, With the Alter Rebbe, with the Ba’al Shem Tov,, even with almighty G-D Himself”.

We call again on all the Memunim, both on behalf of the building’s management, and on behalf of the Shul’s management, and on behalf of the Yeshiva’s management, to clean up by all possible means (according to Shulchan Aruch and Lehavdil the laws of the state) to completely eradicate such a phenomenon, and to restore the glory of the Shul, Beis Rabeinu Sheb’bovel.

And we will have the fulfillment of the Nevua “ואת רוח הטומאה אעביר מן הארץ”, in the true and complete G’ulah Through Moshiach Tzidkeinu immediately in our days, with joy and kindness.

    Signed
