On Motzei Shabbos, there was a special Avos U’banim event for the students of Cheder Ohr Menachem in Crown Heights, together with their fathers, they sat down to learn together from booklets prepared by the teachers, with each class having a study booklet adapted for them, along with light refreshments.
The evening took place at Ulm Chana in Crown Heights, under the direction of the menahel Rabbi Menachem Mendel Yusewitz, organized by the Hanhala member Rabbi Avraham Reinitz and the 7th-grade teacher and the event organizer Rabbi Chanoch Hecht.
After learning the Menahel shared a few words, followed by the 12 pesukim and a video of the Rebbe.
A special video was shown prepared by the students of 5th grade on the Gemara they learned.
Prizes were awarded as part of the mivtzah Tanya ba’al peh, where 4th-grade students received a prize for finishing Perek Zayin by heart. Rabbi Hecht announced a new mivtzah of doubling the mishanyos ba’al peh from last year.
At the end of the evening, a raffle was held between the events participants by assistant Menahel, Rabbi Yosef Oberlander. Followed by lively Adar dancing.
