The Aftermath Of Today’s Fire At 755 Eastern Parkway
As reported earlier on Chabadinfo.com, a fire has broken out today at a newly purchased building serving as dormitory for the Kvutzah Bochurim, which left many bochurim without a place to sleep. Approximately 1:30 PM Wednesday afternoon a ranging fire broke out 755 Eastern Parkway – The new Yeshivah building purchased earlier this year to serve as a dormitory for the kvutza bochurim that come to spend the year by the Rebbe in 770.
Firefighters issued an “all-hands alert” after approaching the scene which showed ranging flames shooting out of a window on the third floor.
The fire was quickly brought under control, and by 2:00 the fire was reported to be under control. The FDNY reported that no one had been injured.
At 2:25 PM, the official FDNYalerts Twitter account tweeted that the fire was fully under control.
Bochurim who were in the building were evacuated safely. The yeshiva BH found accommodations for some of the displaced residents.
