Rebbe Explains How The Terrorists Infiltrated Israel
In May of 1974, terrorists from Lebanon entered Israel, took over 100 schoolchildren hostage, and then murdered 22 children, in what was later known as the “Ma’alot Massacre” In the weeks following the incident the Rebbe spoke about the massacre and dedicated a few Sichos to discuss it.
On Shabbos Parshas Naso 5734 (1974), the Rebbe spoke about the issue of Mihu Yehudi, that the Israeli government allowed Non-Jews to be registered as Jews after undergoing a sham conversion, and then the Rebbe said (Sichos Kodesh 5734 Vol. 2 page 188ff), emphasis added:
… If Jews want to settle in Jerusalem, the government doesn’t allow them to, but the Non-Jews are allowed to enter freely. The one who leads this travesty is the same person who claims that Mihu Yehudi is an “achievement” for the Jewish nation, while he is busy destroying the Jewish nation! He is creating holes in the wall that separates the Jewish nation from the Non-Jews, and through these holes the terrorists were able to enter Israel! as it is known that the terrorists entered by making holes through the gate separating the land of Israel from the land of the Non-Jews.
I don’t know why they had to make holes in the gate, they could have entered directly through the Lod airport, and told the clerk that they are Jewish and asked for a Jewish ID card, and the clerk would oblige! for the clerk has no authority to make any decisions, and if he asks a question, the reply is “Don’t get involved in matters which aren’t in your jurisdiction!”…
That person doesn’t care about anything; let the terrorists enter Israel, as long as he stays stuck to his chair in the Israeli parliament he is happy…
