Rina, who grew up in Crown Heights and spent many years running a local playgroup, was known for her devotion to Chinuch and her warm, heartfelt care for every child. For the past six years, she lived with her husband, Levi, in the Chabad community of Atlanta, where she was a dedicated wife and mother to their three children, the youngest just six months old. Remembered for her kindness, sweetness, and ever-present smile, Rina tragically passed away on Wednesday night after suffering a stroke a few days earlier.
She is survived by her husband Levi Polter and 3 children, Aryeh, Zac and Sophia.
She is also survived by her parents, Shimon and Margula Roumani of Crown Heights, and siblings, Eliezer Roumani – S Paulo, Brazil, Chaya Kapeluchnik – Inverrary, Florida, Tzivia Gottlieb – Hallandale, Florida, Sarah Avtzon – Crown Heights, Pinchas Roumani and Gittel Roumani – Crown Heights.
She is also survived by her parents-in-law, Dovid and Michlah Polter of Crown Heights.
The Levaya will take place on Friday at Arlington Memorial Park
