    We are deeply saddened to report on the sudden and untimely passing of Reb Michoel Schnitzler, OBM, a Jewish music star known for his Yiddish compositions.

    He was 62 years old and suffered from a sudden heart attack.

    Born in 1961 to his father R’ Meshulam Zusha Schnitzler OBM. He began his career as a singer at a young age, quickly gaining popularity for his soulful voice and his ability to connect with audiences through his music.

    For over 35 years, R’ Michoel sang at more than 4,200 weddings and released 15 albums with over 150 songs. He also composed songs for fellow singers, among them Lipa Schmeltzer, Pinky Weber, and Motti Ilowitz.

    R’ Michoel suffered a heart attack in the Monsey area on Friday afternoon. Hatzolah paramedics did everything they could to save his life but were unfortunately unsuccessful.
