    We are deeply saddened to report on the passing of Rabbi Yerachmiel Alperowitz, OBM from the elder Chassidim of Yerushalayim, and was a mechanech for many years with the Bracha of the Frierdiker Rebbe, passed away on Shabbos, 18 Adar 5783.

    Born in Moscow to his parents Rabbi Chaim Moshe and Doba Gita Alperowitz, on the 7th of Adar 5688. His family later immigrated to Eretz Yisrael on 13 Iyar 5695.

    He studied in the Chai Olam Yeshiva and later the Achei Temimim Yeshiva until he got married to Mrs. Fruma, they lived in Bnei Brak, Israel, for 40 years.

    in 5709, he received a Bracha from the Frierdiker Rebbe to be a Mechanech, and “that his students would grow up to be Yirei Shamayaim, and Lamdanim.” He was a Mechanech in Kfar Saba and served as a teacher in the non-Chabad Talmud Torah for a many years.

    He is survived by his children, Rabbi Ozer Alperowitz – Kfar Chabad, Rabbi Shloime Alperowitz – Kfar Chabad Beis, Rabbi Yekutiel Alperowitz – Nachalas Har Chabad, Israel, Mrs. Sarah Sasha Alperowitz, Rabbi Yosef Lipa Alperowitz – Yerushalayim, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Alperowitz – Crown Heights, Rabbi Shmuel Alperowitz – Vienna, Mrs. Rivkah Sheingarten – Argentina, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

    The Levaya took place in Jerusalem with burial on Har Hazeisim.
