With great sadness we inform you of the passing of Rabbi Yaakov Shlomo Goldberg, OB”M, a longtime member of the Crown Heights community. Rabbi Goldberg passed away on Sunday night, 16 Teves. He was 77-years-old.
Rabbi Goldberg was a modest businessman in Crown Heights, who worked as a local printer for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Raizel Goldberg, and children Rabbi Zalman Goldberg – Crown Heights; Rabbi Yechiel Goldberg – Toronto, Canada; Rivky Raichik – Los Angeles, CA; Rabbi Mendy Goldberg – Morristown, NJ; Devorah Levertov – Santa Fe, NM; Rabbi Dovid Goldberg – Brazil; Rabbi Zevi Goldberg – Toronto, Canada; Sara Moscowitz – Chicago, IL; and Rochee Levertov – Pomona, NY; as well as many grandchildren ke”h.
He was predeceased by his daughter Chomie Weiss, OB”M, of Antwerp, Belgium last year.
He is also survived by his siblings, Rabbi Mottel Goldberg and Sara Bornstein, both of Bnei Brak.
The Levaya will take place Monday, leaving Shomrei Hadas in Boro Park around 11:00 am and passing by 770 around 11:45 am, Kvurah at Montefiore Cemetery.
Shiva will be at 553 Montgomery Street.
