We regret to report on the passing of Mrs. Esther (Aliska) Adamek, of Sydney, Australia, the beloved matriarch of her large family, who passed away on Monday, 29 Shevat, 5783.
She was 97 years old.
Born into a very religious family in Bunkovce, Czechoslovakia, Esther was a survivor of Auschwitz, emerging from the war with her faith intact embracing her Jewish life and determined to raise her children in the ways of Hashem, ensuring they attended a religious Jewish Day School in Sydney, Australia where she had migrated.
She is survived by her children Diana Loebenstein and Ari Leuchter, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, among them are shluchim around the world.
The Levaya will take place on Tuesday, the first day of Rosh Chodesh Adar at the Sydney Chevrah Kadisha.
The shivah will be at 83 Ocean Street, Bondi, Sydney.
