With great sadness we inform you of the passing of Reb Mordechai Boymelgreen, OB”M, a Talmid Chochom and Baal Chessed who survived the Holocaust. He passed away Tuesday, Kislev 5, 5776. He was 91 years old.
Reb Mordechai was born in Poland, and studied in the Lubavitch Yeshiva of Otzvosk. During the war, he was sent to various concentration camps, where his entire family perished.
He is survived by his wife, Chana Boymelgreen, and children Shaya Boymelgreen – Crown Heights; Rachel Chitrik – Crown Heights; and Levi Boymelgreen – Brooklyn; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Levaya will take place today, Tuesday, leaving Shomrei Hadas of Boro Park at 2:30 pm, passing by 770 at 3:30 pm, and then to JFK.
Burial will be at Har Hamenuchos in Yerushalayim.
