Thousands Attend the Levaya of Harav Ashkenazi

The Levaya of Rabbi Mordechai Shmuel Ashkenazi OBM took place this morning leaving from his house in Kfar Chabad passing by the Yeshiva and Beis Menachem, thousands stood outside to show their respect.
After the Levaya went through the streets of Kfar Chabad it came to “770- Aguch” there the chief Rabbis of Eretz Yisroel Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar and Rabbi Yitzcha Yosef spoke, as well as the head of the “Vaad Kfar Chabad” – Rabbi Binyomin Lipshitz and others.
Following, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Gluckowsky called on a representative of the “Beis Din Rabbonei Chabad of Eretz Yisroel”, also a cousin of Rabbi Ashkenazi, Rabbi Yochanan Gourarie to announce the appointing of Rabbi Meir Ashkenazi as the Rov of Kfar Chabad.
From there they went to the burial place in Tiverya. There, the Nigun of the Alter Rebbe “Daled Bavos”, today being the Alter Rebbes Yartzeit, was sung with great emotion and tears.
